Lewisburg, Pennsylvania —Bucknell University welcomed one of its
largest incoming classes when it opened its 173rd academic year in August with a total
enrollment of 3,758 students, including just 62 graduate students. With 976 new students, the
Class of 2022 is just one member shy of last year’s record incoming class. Students came from 30
states and 46 countries. The class is among the most diverse in University history, with 21 percent
being students of color and 11 percent being first-generation college students.
Bucknell offers a unique Engineering five-year dual-degree program which permits selected
students to complete all requirements for two separate degrees, both a Bachelor of Science and a
Master of Science, in five years. Master of Science degrees are available in chemical, civil,
electrical, and environmental or mechanical engineering. Each graduate program is individually
tailored to meet the needs, preparation and goals of the student.
Undergraduate students who have completed three years in the chemical, civil, electrical,
environmental, or mechanical engineering program at Bucknell, earning a cumulative grade point
average of at least 3.0, and show aptitude for graduate study, may apply for admission to this
integrated 3-2 program.
