Employment-based Immigration
There are a limited number of employment-based Visa applications processed on an annual basis, typically around 140,000. Mistakes on an application can result in denials or may result in delays that cause a loss of a worker’s place “in line” in the process. These delays can be costly and often mean an otherwise qualified worker would be unable to secure one of the five categories of Visas that are available annually.
Because of the complexity of the application process, it is always a good idea to work with an immigration attorney when you are applying for any type of visa that will allow you to work in the United States. Oftentimes, there are waiting lists which will require you to wait several months or even years for approval to work. The sooner your applications are submitted, the more likely you are to obtain the necessary approvals.
